The migration moves your Base44 app as-is onto infrastructure you own. As-is means it won't convert it to other languages or stacks: Base44 runs on MongoDB, so it can't run on Supabase; it uses Python for backend, so it can't go on WordPress or cPanel. Doing any of that would compromise the perfect replication.

The automatic migration itself usually takes around 15 minutes, though for very large apps it can take up to a few hours. It runs on its own, so you can close the page.
Setting up accounts (which we guide you through) takes 5-30 minutes, depending on your providers.

Base44's export gives you half your app: the frontend and your custom backend functions, the logic that's specific to your app.

Each app is its own, standalone migration process. Simply select your other app when you log in again.
The second time around should be faster if you use the same hosting providers, as you'd already have the accounts; the access keys will auto-fill. Note if you removed our access already, or use other providers, you'll need to fill them in. Your second app is 25% off, third onwards is 50%.

Yes. After migrating, there's an option to point your domain at your newly migrated app.

Your app talks to the AI provider directly, with your own key. Right after the migration you open an account there and add your key; we walk you through it. You pay the provider for what your app actually uses, and nothing goes through us.

After migration there is an option to add your own custom domain. Once you do that, it will change the email domain to your domain as well. Until then, emails get sent by no-reply@eb44.app (so that those who do not have a custom domain are not forced to buy one).

You can revoke our access after migration. You gave us access keys to your providers; you simply need to remove them in the same places you added them. There is an option to do so after migration; we walk you through it.

Yes. Your full code is in your own GitHub, so you can run it on your computer like any other project. Once your migration finishes, our site has a "Run locally" guide that walks you through it.

Yes. The EscapeBase44 builder is fully optional. Your full code is in your own GitHub, with a clear README and an AGENTS.md file for AI tools, so any AI tool or developer can pick it up right away.

Yes. The builder works through your own GitHub, exactly like a developer editing by hand would. Every change it makes is saved there, so you can see it or undo it.

No. Only migrated apps work in the builder.

No, AI models require a lot of compute; the server size alone would be pricier than any AI subscription.
